Pinkalicious

We're all about books here at the Madras house. Every holiday is celebrated with at least one book gift. This year, for Valentine's Day, Bonus Baby will be getting Pinkalicious, an adorable children's book about a little girl who loves the color pink, especially pink cupcakes. One day, she eats one too many, and (you guessed it) she turns pink. From the darling illustrations of all things pink to the sweet message in the story, I know this will become a favorite bedtime book at our house. I particularly enjoy all of the fun wordplay with phrases like "Pinkerella" and "Pinkabelle" along with "pink-a-boo" and "Pinkititis." I can't wait until the 14th so BB and I can curl up together to read this "pinkerrific" tale.

How cute! I am seriously out of the kid book stage, so I haven't seen anything new for so long. I'm a sucker for beautiful illustrations. I was going to go through all my books and let my neighbor take what she wanted (she's the media specialist at our old elementary), but as soon as we started going through them, the boys wouldn't let me get rid of any of them. And they are NOT readers, so I guess it's the good memories of storytime that made them want to hold on to their books.

It's one of our favorites! Try "A Girl and her Gator", it's another cute one!

We LOVE this book! Even a favorite of our 6 year old boy as well as an obvious fave of our 4 year old daughter. Enjoy!

I just found your blog from another one, so posting for the first time! I love your blog and it's so funny to see this book because I bought it 2 weeks ago for my neighbor's daughter for her 4th birthday. I have 2 sons so I don't get to buy fun books like this often!
